Handfeste Gründe: Geschlechtsspezifische Gewalt und Migrationsabsichten von Frauen in Afrika

Abstract

Schätzungsweise jede dritte Frau weltweit erlebt sexualisierte Gewalt. Die individuellen Folgen für die physische und psychische Gesundheit sind drastisch. Doch auch auf der gesellschaftlichen Ebene hat das Machtgefälle zwischen den Geschlechtern Konsequenzen, wirtschaftlicher und sozialer Art. Anhand von Daten aus Afrika zeigt Irene PañedaFernández, dass Gewalt gegen Frauen außerdem ein bedeutsamer Faktor für die Entscheidung sein kann, auszuwandern.
