Erwerbstätige mit Migrationshintergrund in Wien. Beitrag zur Wirtschaft und Erfahrungen auf dem Arbeitsmarkt

Abstract

Personen mit Migrationshintergrund stellten im Jahr 2021 43,4% der unselbständig Beschäftigten und 40,5% der Selbständigen Wiens. Sie erbrachten 42,5% aller in Wien geleisteten Arbeitsstunden und erwirtschafteten 33,5% der Lohnsumme sowie geschätzt 35% der Wertschöpfung. Beschäftigte mit Migrationshintergrund geben in nahezu allen untersuchten Dimensionen eine höhere Arbeitsbelastung und eine geringere Arbeitszufriedenheit an als Beschäftigte ohne Migrationshintergrund und sind öfter von Diskriminierung betroffen. Geschlechterunterschiede sind in vielen Indikatoren unter Beschäftigten mit Migrationshintergrund größer als unter Beschäftigten ohne Migrationshintergrund. Zur Vermeidung von Diskriminierung bedarf es einer intersektionellen Perspektive auf Migration, die am gesamten "Bündel" von diskriminierungsrelevanten Kategorien ansetzt.
