Der Beitrag setzt sich mit Walther Mueller-Jentschs Soziologie industrieller Beziehungen auseinander. Er argumentiert, dass die Transformation des einstigen Sozialkapitalismus zwei Welten sozialer Regulation hervorgebracht hat, deren ‘Grenzregime’ zunehmend umkaempft ist. Es handelt sich, so die These, um Klassen- Auseinandersetzungen in fragmentierten Arbeitsbeziehungen. Bewegungen, die von der einen in die andere Regulationswelt fuehren, lassen sich, wie auch Wolfgang Streeck feststellt, mit dem Konzept der Konfliktpartnerschaft nicht mehr angemessen verstehen. Deshalb gehoert auf den Pruefstand, was in der Soziologie industrieller Beziehungen lange als gesichertes Wissen galt.
