Abstract

[fre] L’objectif de la présente étude est d’expliquer pourquoi l’économie chinoise est sujette à des perturbations rapides et considérables de l’équilibre macroéconomique. L’auteur explique, tout d’abord, la situation macroéconomique récente en Chine en privilégiant l’interaction entre les politiques et les caractéristiques structurelles de la Chine. Il examine ensuite le fonctionnement du système financier, puis analyse les conséquences dynamiques de la situation budgétaire précaire. Enfin, il étudie la question du taux de change dans le contexte macroéconomique global. . Classification JEL : E6, O23, O53 [eng] The structural obstacles to macroeconomic control in China . The aim of this paper is to propose an explanation for why the Chinese economy is susceptible to quick large shifts in macroeconomic balance. The author first explains the recent macroeconomic record by focusing on the interaction between China’s policies and structural characteristics. He examines the working of the financial system, and analyses the dynamic implications of the precarious fiscal situation. At last, he discusses the exchange rate issue within the general macroeconomic context. . JEL classification : E6, O23, O53
