Abstract

Employing a dataset encompassing Chinese provinces from 2008 to 2022, this research investigates the mechanisms through which agricultural green total factor productivity influences the pursuit of high-quality agricultural development. The research findings indicate that agricultural green total factor productivity significantly promotes high-quality agricultural development. The level of regional financial development plays a moderating role between agricultural green total factor productivity and high-quality agricultural development, and this moderating effect exhibits heterogeneity under different levels of urban-rural income disparity. Environmental regulation serves as a mediating factor between agricultural green total factor productivity and high-quality agricultural development.
