Multiraciality and intersectionality: an Asian-centered exploration of out-of-home care

Abstract

The child welfare system’s handling of racial and ethnic diversity, particularly for Asian populations, has often been criticized for its simplicity and inadequacy. This study examines the nuanced pathways and disparities in foster care entries and outcomes for Asian American children, focusing on the effects of multiracial identities.
