Abstract

This study investigates the influence of demographic variables (educational level, gender, location, and socioeconomic status) on the choice of political candidates in Edo State, Nigeria. A survey research design with a correlational approach was employed. Findings revealed that educational level, location, and occupation significantly influence voters' decisions. Recommendations include investment in educational programs, region-specific campaign strategies, and detailed manifestos.
