Theories of the evolution of technology based on processes of competitive substitution and multi-mode interaction between technologies

Abstract

This article presents two theoretical approaches to technological evolution: competitive substitution and multi-mode interaction, including technological parasitism. It aims to deepen understanding of how technologies evolve and influence economic and social change.
