Derechos sociales y culturales en el trabajo artístico: un análisis exploratorio de artistas chilenos y mexicanos durante tiempos pandémicos

Abstract

En el presente manuscrito buscamos responder qué características sociodemográficas y condiciones del trabajo artístico se relacionan con el ejercicio de diferentes derechos en artistas residentes de Chile y México. Para ellos, diseñamos un estudio exploratorio-explicativo, utilizando datos primarios (N=94). Para el análisis, recurrimos al análisis de regresión logística. Los resultados principales muestran que diversas características sociodemográficas (p. ej., el ser mujer o ser más joven) o condiciones de trabajo (p. ej., el tener un mayor porcentaje de ingresos de actividad artística) disminuyen la posibilidad de ejercer los derechos a la seguridad social, a los servicios de salud, a la vivienda y al uso del tiempo libre, en el marco de la pandemia por COVID-19. Estos resultados señalan la necesidad de políticas públicas, programas e intervenciones que minimicen las condiciones estructurales del mercado laboral actual y que garanticen a los artistas el ejercicio de sus derechos.
