Leasing Growth in 2014 Far Exceeds Capital Investment – Moderate Optimism for 2015

Abstract

Leasing declined by 1.6% overall in 2013 and performed more poorly than overall economic expenditure on investment (–0.9%), as shown by the latest Ifo Investment Survey of German leasing companies. New business will see 6.1 percent growth on annual average in 2014. According to current forecasts, expenditure on equipment is also expected to rise.
