Düsseldorfer Messen und Veranstaltungen von DüsseldorfCongress sichern die Arbeitsplätze von bundesweit knapp 28 100 Personen

Nach den jüngsten Berechnungen des ifo Instituts geben die Besucher und die Aussteller der Düsseldorfer Messen und Ausstellungen im jährlichen Durchschnitt rund 1,75 Mrd. € aus, wobei über 40% der gesamten Ausgaben in Düsseldorf getätigt werden. In Nordrhein-Westfalen insgesamt fallen Ausgaben in Höhe von über 1 Mrd. € an. Der Beitrag der Messen zu den Einnahmen der öffentlichen Haushalte ist nicht unerheblich: Für alle Gebietskörperschaften der Bundesrepublik Deutschland ergeben sich für ein durchschnittliches Messejahr Steuereinnahmen in Höhe von rund 423 Mill. €; davon entfallen etwa 25,6 Mill. € auf Düsseldorf und 151 Mill. € auf das übrige Nordrhein-Westfalen. Im Jahresdurchschnitt sichern Messen und sonstige Veranstaltungen der Messe Düsseldorf GmbH bundesweit die Arbeitsplätze von knapp 28 100 Personen.
