Abstract

Le mouvement de la connaissance constitue aujourd'hui le mainstream en management stratégique (Foss, 2007). Alors que la littérature consacrée à l'innovation semble en avoir tiré pleinement profit (Leonard-Barton, 1995 ; Amidons, 2001 ; Kodama, 2005), la théorie de la gouvernance demeure pour sa part à dominante contractuelle (Williamson, 1999). Afin d'enrichir le débat sur la gouvernance, nous partons du postulat selon lequel la gouvernance de l'innovation appelle une gouvernance de la connaissance. L'innovation n'étant autre que la création et la mise en application de nouvelles connaissances pour les rendre productives (Drucker, 1993). Des connaissances avec des propriétés spécifiques et des modes de transformation appropriés (Nonaka, 1994 ; Boisot, 1995). Ce travail propose donc une articulation inédite entre la gouvernance et l'innovation à travers le prisme de la connaissance et une contribution à la littérature naissante autour de gouvernance de connaissance (Foss, 2007). Des perspectives de recherche et d'opérationnalisation sont proposées en conclusion.
