Myanmar Transport Sector Policy Note: Rural Roads and Access

Abstract

Rural roads and rural transport services are fundamental to reducing rural poverty and enabling social and economic development. Evidence from Myanmar, and from around the world, makes it clear that access to markets and services is crucial for stimulating rural productivity and development.
