Abstract

Con el propósito de avanzar en torno a los lineamientos propuestos por la OMS, acerca del stablecimiento de comisiones nacionales de Macroeconomía y Salud, se ha convocado a un grupo de académicos e investigadores nacionales que han realizado o desarrollan investigación en esta área y poseen producción académica e intelectual que enriquece el acervo de conocimientos sobre la política y el sistema de salud en Colombia. La Observación se divide en cuatro grandes temas, a saber: salud y desarrollo, financiamiento y cobertura del sistema de salud, ciencia y tecnología, y aspectos regionales. Además, contiene una observación académica en memoria del profesor Alan Williams, fallecido en el presente año. Por último, se plantean unas conclusiones y reflexiones encaminadas a motivar el establecimiento de la Comisión de Macroeconomía y Salud y la elaboración de un informe para Colombia, lo cual, de concretarse, redundaría en la consolidación de una comunidad académica que genere dialogo interdisciplinario e involucre los diferentes sectores y actores de la sociedad, y, de manera destacada, realice aportes en materia de nuevo conocimiento y ofrezca insumos para la política de salud.
