Die Großstädte im Wachstumsmodus: Stochastische Bevölkerungsprognosen für Berlin, München und Frankfurt am Main bis 2035

Abstract

Die deutschen Großstädte sind aktuell im Wachstumsmodus. Hohe Wanderungssalden aus dem In- und Ausland tragen zu einer positiven Bevölkerungsentwicklung bei. Diese Entwicklung setzt sich auch in der Zukunft fort. Die in diesem Beitrag vorgestellten stochastischen Bevölkerungsprognosen für Berlin, Frankfurt und München liefern die Bevölkerung differenziert nach Altersjahren und Geschlecht bis 2035. Im Ergebnis wächst die Bevölkerung der Hauptstadt bis 2035 um 14,5 Prozent auf über 4 Millionen Menschen (4,03 Millionen). Die Bevölkerungsprognose für Frankfurt berechnet ein Bevölkerungsanstieg um 11 Prozent zwischen 2015 und 2035 voraus. Der Bevölkerungsstand der deutschen Bankenzentrums steigt somit bis 2035 auf etwa 813.000 Personen an. Auch die bayerische Landeshauptstadt wächst kräftig (+14,4 Prozent) auf 1,66 Millionen Menschen.
