Weltkonjunktur im Frühjahr 2019 - Gebremste Expansion der Weltwirtschaft

Abstract

Die Weltkonjunktur hat im zweiten Halbjahr 2018 spürbar an Schwung verloren und ist wohl auch schwach in das neue Jahr gestartet. Politische Unsicherheiten wie die von den Vereinigten Staaten ausgehenden Handelskonflikte und die Unklarheit über die Modalitäten des Brexit sowie die Unsicherheit über das Ausmaß der Konjunkturabschwächung in China belasten den Ausblick. So dürfte sich das weltwirtschaftliche Expansionstempo in diesem Jahr im Vergleich zu den beiden Vorjahren deutlich verringern. Mit einem Einbruch der Konjunktur rechnen wir angesichts einer insgesamt expansiven Geldund Fiskalpolitik gleichwohl nicht. Für dieses und das nächste Jahr erwarten wir einen Zuwachs der Weltproduktion von jeweils 3,3 Prozent, nach 3,7 Prozent im Jahr 2018. Wir haben unsere Prognose vom Dezember damit für 2019 und 2020 um jeweils 0,1 Prozentpunkte reduziert. Trotz der Verlangsamung des Expansionstempos bleibt die gesamtwirtschaftliche Kapazitätsauslastung insbesondere in den fortgeschrittenen Volkswirtschaften voraussichtlich hoch, die Arbeitslosigkeit dürfte sogar weiter sinken. Von daher kann vorerst nicht von einer ausgeprägten Konjunkturschwäche gesprochen werden.
