Global verantwortliche Stadt- und Wirtschaftsentwicklung: Kommunale Konzepte für eine Circular Economy

Abstract

Es wird mehr über Circularity bzw. Circular Economy (zirkuläre Wirtschaft) geforscht und gesprochen, dennoch nimmt diese global ab. • Auf der kommunalen Ebene gibt es verschiedene Konzepte, um eine zirkuläre Wirtschaft umzusetzen: von Circular Cities über Zero Waste Cities bis hin zu Fab Cities. Unterschiede in den drei Konzepten liegen in der räumlichen Verbreitung, den Zielen, den Aufnahmekriterien und dem Monitoring. Während Circular Cities und Zero Waste Cities bereits über verbindliche Monitoringansätze verfügen, fehlen diese für Fab Cities bislang. Das EFRE-Projekt "Fab.Region Bergisches Städtedreieck" möchte als erste Fab Region Deutschlands Transformationsprozesse zu einer co-kreativen, nachhaltigen zirkulären Wirtschaft vorantreiben. Dabei wird der Fab City- bzw. Region-Ansatz lokal angepasst, kritisch evaluiert und mit dem Fab City- Netzwerk weiterentwickelt.
