Abstract

Arbeitsmarktzeitreihen werden von jährlich wiederkehrenden Saisoneffekten beeinflusst, die eine Beurteilung aktueller Entwicklungstendenzen am Arbeitsmarkt erschweren. Saisoneinflüsse können mittels statistischer Verfahren eliminiert werden, um eine bessere Einschätzung aktueller Entwicklungen zu ermöglichen. Das in der Statistik der Bundesagentur für Arbeit zur Saisonbereinigung eingesetzte Verfahren Census X-12 ARIMA enthält neben dem Saisonbereinigungskern ein Modul zur Vorbearbeitung der Zeitreihen sowie Kennzahlen, um die Ergebnisse der Saisonbereinigung zu beurteilen. Der Methodenbericht stellt dieses Saisonbereinigungsverfahren in seinen Grundzügen dar.
