Regulaciones e inversiones en el sector eléctrico

Abstract

A principios de la presente década en la Argentina se realizó un profundo cambio en el sector eléctrico, cuando se decidió pasar a un sistema más descentralizado y con mayor participación privada. La nueva organización fue pensada con el objetivo de conformar un mercado que ofreciera señales económicas para una eficiente satisfacción de las demandas de electricidad. Desde ese momento a la actualidad en el mercado eléctrico se ha observado una creciente cantidad de agentes que actúan en el mercado, tanto del lado de la demanda como de la oferta, un mayor nivel de calidad del sistema y una mayor producción de energía de las plantas existentes derivadas de menores salidas de servicio no programadas. Además, los precios mayoristas han descendido abruptamente como resultado de la competencia en la etapa de producción de energía. En este trabajo se abordará específicamente el tema de las inversiones, en el ambiente en el que se desenvuelve el sector eléctrico.
