Abstract

Entrepreneurship is central to the functioning of market economies. Small enterprises create wealth in multiplying employment sources and innovations resources. The dynamism of entrepreneurship is strongly dependent upon local and regional economic, social and institutional conditions. In an industrial restructuration economy, where the large enterprise dominate social activities and norms, what is the small innovative enterprise and the technological entrepreneur place ? The case of Dunkirk, permits to understand the argument of the dependence of entrepreneurship on local economic and social environment, supported by empirical studies, in particular on the profile of dunkirk enterprises creators and on the of Littoral Côte d'Opale University scientific offer and entrepreneurship.
