The timing of the demographic transition and economic growth

Abstract

This research provides novel evidence that the time since the onset of the demographic transition affects growth dynamics across countries and within countries. This sheds light on a factor that has been neglected in the existing empirical growth literature. (C) 2019 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
