Economic contribution of women and its effect on the dynamics of the family in two Lebanese villages

Abstract

Working paper with a case study of the economic role of rural women and their contribution to household income, based on a sample survey of two villages in Lebanon. Describes the economic conditions, demographic aspects, employment status and household production. Discusses issues such as the role of family size, age, educational level, and farm size in determining participation in income generating activities. Bibliography and statistical tables.
