Impact of public policies on migration and development in Ghana, with special reference to the asutsuare sugar area

Abstract

Working paper assessing effects of agricultural policy establishing the Asutsuare sugar cane plantation agricultural project on internal migration in Ghana - reviews previous development projects and migration trends, analyses age, sex, educational level, income and occupational status of plantation workers, and considers reasons for in-migration and out-migration in the area.
