Aktuelle Studienformen im Vergleich: Ein duales Studium begünstigt den Berufseinstieg

Abstract

"Die Zahl der dual Studierenden und der sich beteiligenden Betriebe ist in den letzten Jahren kontinuierlich gestiegen. Aktuell unterscheidet man zwischen ausbildungs- und praxisintegrierenden dualen Studiengängen. In den Ersteren ist eine Berufsausbildung systematisch im Studienverlaufsplan verankert. In Letzteren sind Praxisanteile im Unternehmen in größerem Umfang vorgesehen als bei anderen Studiengängen. Dual Studierende sind zumeist an Fachhochschulen, dualen Hochschulen und Berufsakademien eingeschrieben. Im Vergleich zu Studierenden an Universitäten gibt es in den dualen Studiengängen mehr Männer und weniger Personen mit ausländischer Staatsbürgerschaft. Absolventinnen und Absolventen eines dualen Studiums arbeiten oft in den Bereichen Geschäftsadministration, Geschäftsleitung und Ingenieurswesen. Personen mit einem dualen Studienabschluss weisen ähnlich hohe Beschäftigungsquoten auf wie Universitätsabsolventinnen und -absolventen und sind zu Beginn ihres Erwerbslebens etwas besser in den Arbeitsmarkt integriert. Sie verdienen jedoch im Durchschnitt weniger als Beschäftigte mit Universitätsabschluss." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
