ねんきん定期便からみた日本の転職行動

Abstract

本稿では、ねんきん定期便を転写するという形で個人の職歴を追ったパネルデータを利用し、日本の労働市場における転職市場を分析した。まず本稿で用いるデータを政府統計の厚生労働省『雇用動向調査』と比較したところ、全体としては日本の転職行動をよく代表することを確かめた。次にパネル構造を用いて転職時の賃金変化について分析した結果、クロスセクションデータを用いて得られた従来の知見を再確認した部分と、修正すべき部分がわかった。たとえば、離職時の勤続年数などが賃金変化に与える影響については、固定効果の追加で結論は大きく変わらないのに対して、年齢や離職理由の影響については異なる結論が得られた。本稿の推論は、労働市場分析におけるパネルデータの有用性を再確認するに十分だろう。また一面で、労働市場におけるすべてのメカニズムについてパネルデータが必要なわけではなく、分析対象によってデータを使い分けられる可能性も示唆している。
