Abstract

The authors ask whether the concept of the MIF, which was structuring during the Cold War in the defence economy, remains useful afterwards, given the profound changes that have taken place. They gave a positive answer for the United States, where the CMLI had benefited from the war on terrorism. In Europe, on the other hand, they believe that a security-industrial complex is replacing the CMI.
