Abstract

Globalisation is the result of several interactive processes, in particular the growing integration of national economies, a globalisation that seeks to abolish physical, technical and fiscal borders, within the framework of rules set by international economic organisations, the globalisation of an increasingly standardised demand, the development of global or transnational firms, the increasingly stateless nature of capital, and the American leadership that sets the tone, in particular with the development of a digital economy largely monopolised by the USA. This is the dominant factor at the beginning of the 21st century, with the growing power of international firms and banks, less concerned than their predecessors about the national character of their genesis.
