Abstract

L'intelligence économique est une activité d'intérêt public, amis aussi privé. C'est une démarche stratégique pour toutes les entreprises modernes. Il s'agit d'activer l'information disponible en vue d'améliorer la compétitivité des firmes nationales. Ce n'est donc pas une accumulation d'informations, mais la construction logique d'un savoir à des fins économiques et géopolitiques. Au niveau le plus élevé, celui de la sécurité d'un pays, les entreprises nationales sont en relations étroites avec les impératifs de sécurité et de défense d'un Etat et de son économie. L'intelligence économique est de plus en plus concernée par les aspects sécuritaires, du fait du déplacement des conflits vers les contraintes économiques. Dans cette conception, la nation et l'entreprise ont les mêmes préoccupations. Les maladies de l'intelligence économique sont l'espionnage industriel (illégalité dans la recherche de l'information, atteinte à la vie privée), les virus, le piratage informatique, les écoutes téléphoniques. Les ordinateurs et autres systèmes d'information et de communication forment alors les premières cibles. L'intelligence économique est une arme redoutable qui révolutionne les conditions de la compétition mondialisée des échanges.
