Mise en œuvre d’une recherche de type design science : retour sur l’expérimentation Knowledge Management Platorm

Abstract

Cette communication a pour objectif de mettre en évidence, analyser et discuter notre vision et nos apports aux approches en design science dans deux domaines : l'organisation et les systèmes d'information. Notre intérêt pour ce type d'approche a émergé dans le cadre d'un projet collectif, le projet Knowledge Management Platform, né lors d'une rencontre avec des responsables de l'association Telecom Valley à Sophia Antipolis (France). Ces acteurs souffraient d'un manque de visibilité sur « qui fait quoi » ce qui constituait une entrave à leur capacité à nouer des partenariats locaux. L'objectif du projet KMP était donc de construire une solution innovante de « KnowledgeManagement » partagée entre les différents acteurs de TV, composante d'un portail web destiné à une communauté d'entreprises, d'institutionnels et d'organismes de recherche pour instrumenter de la manière la plus efficace possible, un processus d'échange et de combinaison de leurs connaissances et compétences Pour construire cette cartographie des compétences, nous avons élaboré une nouvelle méthodologie de design science qui pourra, dans un premier temps, être présentée. Cette méthodologie doit son originalité à deux éléments. Elle combine d'une part les aspects clés des deux démarches de design science identifiées dans la littérature en organisation : un recours aux théories existantes (démarche dite science-based) et la prise en compte des pratiques et des usages (démarche dite human-centered). Elle prône d'autre part l'intégration systématique des praticiens dans la démarche de design afin de mettre en place un processus de co-création de connaissances à la fois théoriques et pratiques indispensable dans le cas de conception innovante.
