Geschlossene Kitas: Mütter tragen mit Blick auf Zeiteinteilung vermutlich die Hauptlast

Abstract

Die Corona-Pandemie hat das Leben vieler Familien auf den Kopf gestellt. Kitas und Schulen sind geschlossen, viele Kinder sind nun tagsüber zu Hause – genau wie viele Eltern, die etwa vom Home-Office aus arbeiten. Was bedeutet diese Konstellation für Eltern und deren Zeiteinteilung mit Blick auf Kinderbetreuung, Erwerbsarbeit und Hausarbeit? Aktuelle repräsentative Daten zu diesen Aspekten gibt es noch nicht, allerdings geben frühere Zeitverwendungsdaten für Eltern mit Kita-Kindern und Eltern mit Kindern, die nicht in einer Kita betreut werden, Hinweise zu erwartenden Effekten. Alles deutet darauf hin: Die Hauptlast tragen wohl vielerorts die Mütter
