Abstract

Este arti?culo analiza las formas de exclusio?n socioecono?mica de la cual han sido sujetos los pueblos indi?genas, los negros y los mestizos en Latinoame?rica y el Caribe. Luego de examinar diferentes formas de exclusio?n, se ilustra como desde comienzos del siglo XVI, los pueblos indi?genas, negros y mestizos han recibido un trato diferencial en su contra a lo largo del continente americano, que se ha perpetuado incluso despue?s de abolida la esclavitud a finales del siglo XIX, y que prevalece contempora?neamente.
