La verificación de la calidad de la educación en Colombia

Abstract

En el presente documento se hace un análisis de las herramientas con que cuenta Colombia para evaluar de manera global la calidad de su sistema de educación básica y media. En particular, el estudio cubre los sistemas internacionales de medición masiva de los resultados aplicados en el país, el sistema nacional de evaluación masiva, el análisis de los factores asociados al logro, los estudios cualitativos hechos y los juicios de expertos. A su vez, se discuten los resultados y el alcance de los mecanismos de evaluación masiva de la calidad de la educación. La conclusión principal es que todavía es muy largo el camino que tiene que recorrer el país, no sólo en cuanto al mejoramiento de la calidad de nuestra educación, sino también para alcanzar el perfeccionamiento de los instrumentos que elaboramos para verificarla.
