Ensuring Resource Independence of Agrarian Production in the Context of Food Security of Russia

Abstract

— The article presents the author’s approach to the study of food independence of the country, which consists in considering it as a complex system that includes independence simultaneously in the food, resource and production sectors of the agro-industrial complex. Assessments of food independence of Russia as regards food products and resources of agricultural production are presented. The study is focused on the need to ensure the resource independence of agricultural production in Russia. The risks of resource dependence of agricultural production in Russia are identified. The main guidelines for improving agrarian policy have been formed in order to achieve resource independence in the context of ensuring the country’s food security.
