The System of Performance Indicators Applying on the private pensions market

Abstract

The private pensions system in Romania is a particular one, which has a relatively reduced existence, being easy to understand that there is necessary, in many environments, an improvement of it. In this context, there are presented, briefly, aspects regarding the two pylons, II and III, continuing with the presentation of the main indicators used in this respect. Substantiations are made regarding a series of indicators, such as the market share, the volume of net assets, profitability ratios etc. These indicators are used, as a system, in the analysis and interpretation of the evolution of pensions market in Romania. Data used, drawn from the report related to markets over-watched by the ASF, or from the Annual report of the Authority, are applied in the calculation of the mentioned indicators, which are presented in this paper. Through the combined use of practical and theoretical presentation with graphical representations, a clearer image on the evolution of the private pensions market in Romania.
