Energy transformation technology innovation finance: entrepreneurial capital and crowdfunding

Abstract

Examines the dynamic funding interaction for innovation, entrepreneurship, and renewable energy technology. This study, conducted across ten developed countries between 1994 and 2018, employs the Moments Quantile Regression method to investigate the role that crowdfunding and entrepreneurial capital play in financing the development of energy technology innovation. This study explores the changing environment where creative ideas collide with finance, highlighting crowdfunding and entrepreneurial capital’s critical role in propelling energy change. Referencing influential studies clarifies how crowdfunding sites act as engines for technical advancement in the energy industry. Moreover, observations emphasize the strategic importance of entrepreneurial capital in promoting disruptive innovations. This study thoroughly reviews the complex interaction among energy transformation, technological innovation, and alternative financing mechanisms by synthesizing theoretical frameworks and actual data.
