Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the influence of the nonlocal intraspecific competition on the stability and spatiotemporal dynamics for a diffusive predator–prey system with generalist predator. The stability region and the possible bifurcation curves are determined in the plane consisting of diffusion coefficients of the prey and the predator. Spatially inhomogeneous steady states with different spatial profiles and spatially inhomogeneous periodic solutions with mode-1 as the parameters are varied across the boundaries of the stability region.
