Assessing correctness of local spatial policy using information on commencement of construction investment process

Abstract

The authors of this research paper have attempted to answer the question of whether the information about the commencement of a construction process, i.e. the official notification of having prepared a base map for design purposes, could be used to assess the correctness of local spatial policy. The research was carried out using a mixed method in which both quantitative and qualitative data were collected in parallel. In this way, the results of spatiotemporal changes in the intensity of the performed preparatory activities aimed at the commencement of the construction process were confronted with the conclusions drawn during interviews with people with knowledge in the field of spatial planning.
