Digital financial inclusion, environmental governance and household economic resilience

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of digital financial inclusion on household economic resilience, based on database data from the China Household Finance Survey data, and selecting three consecutive intervals from 2015–2019 as samples. It is found that digital inclusive finance plays a facilitating role in household economic resilience, and the higher the amount of digital inclusive finance, the stronger the facilitating effect on household economic resilience. Moderating effect studies show that environmental governance can weaken the positive impact of digital financial inclusion on household economic resilience. This paper also provides suggestions and discussion on how digital financial inclusion can better promote household economic resilience.
