Can party organization participation in governance promote common prosperity within enterprises? An exploration based on the role of supply chain finance

Abstract

This paper empirically examines the impact of Party organization participation in corporate governance on internal common prosperity within enterprises, utilizing data from Chinese A-share listed companies from 2008 to 2023, and takes into account the role of supply chain finance as a mechanism. The empirical results show that Party organization participation in governance significantly promotes internal common prosperity within enterprises; supply chain finance plays a moderating role in this process. Furthermore, the impact of Party organization participation in governance on internal common prosperity exhibits heterogeneity between high-tech and non-high-tech enterprises. There is also regional heterogeneity in the effect of Party organization participation in governance on internal common prosperity within enterprises.
