Supply chain risk perception and corporate green innovation bubbles

Abstract

Using a large sample of enterprises in the Chinese A-share market, this study examines the impact of supply chain risk (SCR) perception on corporate green innovation (CGI) bubbles. Baseline results reveal that SCR perception negatively affects CGI bubbles. Furthermore, the channel analyses show that SCR perception decreases CGI bubbles by reducing risk-taking and improving investment efficiency. Cross-sectional analyses reveal that the negative impact of SCR perception on CGI bubbles is more pronounced for firms with higher industry competition and greater digitization.
