Abstract

We have used a life-cycle cost analysis for a stand-alone photovoltaic system with and without an auxiliary engine generator. Because of different published cost calculations, we apply average values or new estimates in the analysis based on examinations of component lifetimes, maintenance operations, fuel consumption, components costs, percentage of installation completed, and discount rates.
