The Influence Of The Progression Policy On Educators' Job Satisfaction

Abstract

This article examines the rationale behind the Progression Policy (PP) in South African schools, explores educators' perspectives and experiences with the PP, investigates support measures for educators, and analyzes the PP's effect on educators' job satisfaction in secondary schools. Using Vroom's expectancy theory, the study employs questionnaires from 32 secondary school educators. Findings reveal a notable decrease in satisfaction post-PP implementation.
