Abstract

Estudia la evolución de las relaciones de producción en las zonas rurales de la antigua provincia de Cartagena en el período colonial y hasta 1851. La antigua provincia de Cartagena ocupaba básicamente el territorio que hoy ocupan los departamentos Atlántico, Bolívar, Sucre y Córdoba.También estudia la evolución de las haciendas esclavistas de la región haciendo uso de la demografía histórica para descubrir interesantes características y las bases de su evolución
