Cleantech in Ostdeutschland: Bestandsaufnahme und Entwicklungsperspektiven

Abstract

Das technologische Zukunftsfeld Cleantech ist in zunehmendem Maße bedeutsam für die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in Ostdeutschland. Dabei spannt der Begriff Cleantech einen weiten Bogen von eher traditionellen Wirtschaftszweigen und Verfahren, wie z. B. der Abfallwirtschaft und Abwasserentsorgung, bis hin zu modernen Hochtechnologien, wie sie z. B. in der Photovoltaik, Windenergie, Biokraftstoffherstellung oder im Metallrecycling zum Einsatz kommen. Das IFO INSTITUT, NIEDERLASSUNG DRESDEN, hat im Rahmen des Programms „Zukunftstechnologien“ des BUNDESMINISTERIUMS FÜR VERKEHR, BAU UND STADTENTWICKLUNG eine Bestandsaufnahme des schon existierenden Cleantech-Sektors vorgenommen sowie die mittel- und langfristigen Potenziale in diesem Zukunftsfeld analysiert. Diese Ergebnisse werden verkürzt im vorliegenden Artikel vorgestellt.
