Abstract

In the framework of an ongoing transformation of current economic processes in a wide range of industries in our country, ERP systems have and continue to have an important effect on Romanian businesses. The need to adopt and adapt intelligent technologies in the context of Industry 4.0 is becoming more and more apparent considering the current economic climate. Additionally, the potential for easily adapting economic processes seems to be more significant when selecting the IT solutions that each industry, at least in part, needs. In this paper we will analyze the SWOT factors (Strengths – Weakness – Opportunity - Threats) to provide those in charge of implementing intelligent solutions (RPA, IRPA, AI, ML) the best options that will maximize the efficiency of the company they manage. The present case study considers the presentation of the different ways in which economic processes, run through an ERP system, are transformed using intelligent technologies, so necessary in everyday work, considering the geopolitical context in the world. Information has its role, so that the way companies carry out their activities differs from one day to the next, instability is a word that must be taken into account, work that the management of each of them must take into account very quickly, so that a transition to such intelligent, helpful technologies can be made, using information as a way of working. The authors of this scientific article have collected and analyzed the data used in a project to implement, model and transform some economic processes, in a Romanian company, with the minuses and pluses inherent in such an implementation.
