Abstract

Las remesas que reciben el Ecuador son muy importantes para las algunas de las economías regionales. Aunque al inicio de la pandemia se estimaba que las remesas disminuirían, en este país las remesas provenientes del exterior aumentaron. Sin embargo, es necesario considerar su aporte en este año de crisis en las diferentes regiones. Para ello con una metodología de trimestralización de algunas variables y el uso de cuadrantes se establece un diagrama de que permite observar el efecto de las remesas en las regiones, dependientes de estas, como mecanismo contracíclico durante la crisis del 2020.
