Un?alternativa alla retorica della dimensione aziendale e degli IDE: sistemi agro-alimentari sostenibili di PMI ed internazionalizzazione endogena per mezzo delle indicazioni geografiche

Abstract

Le indicazioni geografiche (IG) fanno riferimento a prodotti con speciali caratteristiche, qualit? o reputazione riconducibili all?origine geografica, e sono propriet? intellettuali. Sono, quindi, per loro natura uno strumento di marketing e di tutela della denominazione, ed hanno il potenziale per innescare un circolo virtuoso di sviluppo economico locale endogeno, coinvolgendo tutti gli stakeholder territoriali. Offrono un?alternativa alla retorica della dimensione aziendale e degli investimenti diretti esteri. La sostenibilit? economica ? una pregiudiziale a tutto questo e il multiple case study Fao di Vandecandelaere et al. (2018) aggiunge un modello ed una generalizzazione analitica alle meta-analisi quantitative esistenti, che gi? evidenziano il contributo positivo delle IG alla sicurezza alimentare, ai prezzi, ai redditi dei produttori e alle quantit? prodotte. La raccomandazione di policy principale ? quella di promuovere le IG a livello globale perch?, lungi dall?essere strumenti protezionistici, favoriscono lo sviluppo di sistemi di produzione alimentari endogeni, sostenibili e resilienti, capaci di contribuire allo sviluppo economico ed imprenditoriale locale, oltre che alla sicurezza e alla qualit? alimentare.
