Abstract

* In Deutschland gibt es im internationalen Vergleich noch einen relativ hohen Anteil an Produktionsarbeitsplatzen, was u. a. am dezentralen Finanzsystem liegen kann, da lokale Banken Produktionsunternehmen mit Krediten versorgen. * Produktion wurde und wird allerdings zugunsten von Dienstleistungen und Wohnen aus dem Stadtgebiet verdrangt, da diese als rentabler und emissionsarmer gelten. * "Produzierendes Gewerbe" ist kein baurechtlicher Begriff; es fallt gemeinsam mit Einzelhandel und Dienstleistung unter den Oberbegriff "Gewerbe", weshalb es schwierig ist, Urbane Produktion aus planungsrechtlicher Sicht gegen Verdrangung durch andere Nutzungen zu schutzen. * Im Sinne der Stadt der kurzen Wege kann Urbane Produktion durch lokale Wertschopfungsketten zu einer nachhaltigen Stadtentwicklung beitragen und bietet die Chance, Leerstande zu fullen und Einfacharbeitsplatze zu schaffen. * Neue Entwicklungen wie 3D.Druck oder vertikale Fabriken versprechen eine umfeldvertragliche, effiziente bzw. nachfrageorientiere Produktion. * Es gibt zahlreiche erfolgreiche Beispiele Urbaner Produktion. Die Stadt Wien bietet eine herausragende Stadtstrategie, um Produktionsbetriebe zu fordern.
