Implikationen steigender Energie- und Transportkosten für die künftige Stadtentwicklung: Hamburg - Stadt mit Zukunft!

Abstract

Das HWWI hat gemeinsam mit alstria ein Forschungsprojekt initiiert, um potentielle Effekte steigender Transportkosten auf die zukünftige Entwicklung der Stadt Hamburg zu analysieren. In diesem Rahmen sind Politikempfehlungen für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung einer wachsenden Stadt Hamburg abgeleitet worden. Die Analyse hat verschiedene Perspektiven eingenommen: Beginnend mit einer globalen Betrachtung der Auswirkungen steigender Transportkosten auf die geografische Lage wirtschaftlicher Aktivitäten in Studie 1, nähert sich die Untersuchung in Studie 2 der Stadtebene über die Analyse der regionalen Auswirkungen. Studie 3 diskutiert aufbauend auf den vorangegangenen die Auswirkungen auf Städte und Stadtentwicklung. Das vorliegende HWWI Policy Paper fasst die zentralen Ergebnisse dieser Studien mit einem Fokus auf Hamburg zusammen. Im Anschluss daran werden politische Handlungsfelder aufgezeigt, die geeignet erscheinen, Hamburg auf die kommenden Herausforderungen vorzubereiten. Ziel dieser Vorgehensweise war es, Aussagen über die Auswirkungen steigender Transportkosten auf die Struktur und wirtschaftlichen Entwicklungsperspektiven Hamburgs abzuleiten.
