The Influence of TennCare on Perinatal Outcomes

Abstract

Finds that (1) the transition to managed care in Tennessee neither improved nor adversely affected most perinatal outcomes, and (2) the expansion of Medicaid coverage to uninsured women did not improve perinatal outcomes relative to those for women not enrolled in TennCare.
